Follow these guidelines to connect online:

  • All you need is an Internet connection and laptop computer with a stable Internet connection. A hard-wired connection is preferred but WiFi will work provided the connection is stable. You can check the strength of your Internet connection using speedtest.net. If your internet speed does not reach at least 15 mbps "upload" and 75 mbps "download" we are unable to connect.
  • Please connect using a Chrome browser, however, Firefox should work fine, if you don't have Chrome of Firefox we will be unable to connect online.
  • Any of the following will work so that the host/studio can hear you. Please don’t attempt to connect without verifying that you have the proper technology.
    • USB headset with microphone built in.
    • USB microphone paired with headphones that can be plugged into the microphone or laptop/computer. AirPods may work, however be sure to disconnect your phone from Bluetooth first.
    • Traditional microphone and headphones plugged into a USB mixer that is connected to your computer or laptop.
    • If you don't have any of the above we may try using the internal laptop microphone paired with headphones that can be plugged into your laptop. AirPods may work, however be sure to disconnect your phone from Bluetooth first.
Note: You cannot listen via your internal speakers. Headphones, headset, or AirPods are required, Apple earbuds with built-in phone mic is discouraged.

To connect with the studio, use the links in your confirmation email.

Once you click on the appropriate studio link, follow these steps:
  1. Enter your name under ‘Connect with RadioMD’. This is just your screen name so the studio technician knows it’s you.
  2. On the next page, click ’skip this wizard’. If/when asked to allow access to your microphone and/or camera, please say YES.
  3. After skipping the wizard, a box should appear on the screen that allows you to click the green ’start using ipDTL’ box. Please do so.
  4. If you’ve made it this far successfully, the studio technician will help you make sure that your laptop/computer are recognizing your microphone and headphones. Note, ‘send audio' is your microphone and ‘receive audio' is your headphones/headset/AirPods.

Studio phone numbers to speak with technicians/hosts are provided in your confirmation email.
